See illustration £500-1000 Provenance: St. Julians, Kent and thence by descent. This lot is sold with a copy of the "General Regulations and an Explanation of the Principal Words of Command for the Use of the Light Horse Volunteers" with a red morocco binding inscribed "LHV". This is said to have belonged to the sitter, identified by the family as John Charles Herries.
